We turn to Deuteronomy 8, where Moses calls God’s people to remember all they experienced in the wilderness — not to relive hardship, but to recognize God’s faithful provision. We are often prone to forgetting the good things God has done. Forgetfulness leads to pride and self-sufficiency, but remembrance cultivates gratitude and trust. Lent invites us to pause and reflect on where God has carried us, sustained us, and provided for us. As we remember His sacrifice and faithfulness, our hearts are provided an opportunity to be renewed. The question is: will you choose to remember?
